Topical Fluoride

We apply a fluoride treatment after cleaning because the latest research still indicate fluoride as a major factor in reducing dental decay. It is indicated for all ages.

For children it is recommended fluoride be painted onto newly erupting teeth and every 6 months. New teeth absorb the fluoride very well.

For older patients People are living longer and hanging on to their teeth so as they age and their mouths become drier, decay starts to occur especially on the exposed roots.
