Implant Supported Crown and Bridgework

Implants are now the preferred option to replace missing teeth. A titanium rod is inserted into the space where a tooth has been extracted and after the bone has healed around the rod, usually 2 – 6 months, a porcelain tooth is screwed into the rod. Sometimes the crown is cemented on.

Where more than one tooth needs to be replaced, more than one implant can be placed, and these can support a bridge or even a denture.

At Redfern dentist , we believe the best person to place the implant is a specialist. We take over procedures once the bone healing has occurred, and provide the crown or bridge.
